Frequently asked questions

What is the UCAT mock score tracker?

It is a free page for logging every UCAT mock you sit. For each mock you record the date, whether it was a full or mini mock, where it came from, your Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning scaled scores from 300 to 900, and your SJT band. It then shows your average and best combined totals and a trend chart for each section and for your total. A free account saves your scores across devices.

How should I track my UCAT mock scores?

Log each mock on the day you sit it, with its source, so nothing is reconstructed from memory later. Record section scores rather than only the total, because a flat total can hide one section rising while another falls. Use the "Where did you leak marks?" tags to note what went wrong, such as Verbal Reasoning inference or Quantitative Reasoning pacing. Then judge progress from the trend across several mocks rather than any single result, since scores vary from one paper to the next.

How do I compare UCAT mock scores from different providers?

Treat each provider as its own scale. Question banks differ in difficulty and in how they convert raw marks to scaled scores, so a jump after switching provider may say more about the paper than about you. The tracker records the source of every mock, including Medify, MedEntry, Passmedicine, a book, the official practice tests and TheUKCATPeople mocks, so you can compare like with like. The official UCAT practice tests are the closest guide to the real test interface.

Is this The UKCAT People score calculator?

No. This page tracks mock scores you have already worked out; it does not convert marks. If a mock gave you raw marks, convert them into scaled scores with TheUKCATPeople's free UCAT score calculator first, then log the scaled Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning scores and your SJT band here. Scores from the free full mocks on this site are already scaled, so you can log them directly or let them log themselves.

Do the free mocks on this site log to the tracker automatically?

Yes, if you are signed in. When you finish a timed attempt at one of the free full UCAT mocks here, having answered at least half the questions, its scaled scores and SJT band are added to your tracker as a TheUKCATPeople mock, along with weakness tags from the attempt analysis. For an untimed attempt, or a review you reopen later, you choose whether to add it. Each attempt is only logged once.

Can my mock scores change my UCAT study plan?

Yes, when you are signed in. If one of your Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making or Quantitative Reasoning scores is 50 or more points below each of your other sections, or you tick a weak area when logging a mock, the tracker offers to add extra focus on that section to your upcoming weeks. Your plan also leans more on measured results over time: the section confidence you gave when you created it counts for less with each mock you log.

What target should I set in the UCAT mock tracker?

Set a Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning total between 900 and 2700 and an SJT band, based on the universities you want to apply to. For context, in the 2026 cohort the median total was about 1,920 and the 90th percentile about 2,250. Check how each school uses the UCAT, since some set thresholds and others weigh the score alongside the rest of the application. Your target then stays at the top of the tracker beside your results.
